HOLZKNECHT, MARK LEWIS, 23, died in a tragic automobile accident in the early morning of August 14, 2012. He was the beloved son of Amy Held and Philip Holzknecht and the older brother of Zack Holzknecht. In addition to his parents, he is heartbreakingly survived by his loving grandparents, Carol and Phillip Held and Nancy and Cecil Holzknecht, who treasure every beautiful moment they have had with him, and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss his warmth, generosity and sense of humor. Mark, a graduate of St. Xavier High School, graduated in May, 2012, from IU Southwest and had just completed summer classes in the Masters of Education program at the University of Louisville. A Free Spirit, ‘Markle Sparkle’ loved the outdoors and was always smiling. Most important in his life were his relationships with his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
